Over the past few weeks I have been tearing the house apart filling up my already hung frames with wedding and engagement pictures. But apparently when I put the pictures in the slots, the coloring didn’t look right. So tornado hit, I was moving things around like a mad woman and the house and I are finally sane enough to show it all off. I seem to have a whole house of collage walls but I just love it. This is probably one of my favorites now. I tried to have the pictures tell our story. A photo from when we got engaged, our engagement photos, and some wedding ones. A spray painted horseshoe from the thrift store and some address numbers give it a little funk. What do your walls say? Do they tell a story?

After our "almost move" and packing all our pictures up, I must now rehang them. I'm going to paint all my frames black and re-do my hall. Not sure what story it will tell yet though.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the idea of letting your wall tell a story!! Brilliant. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the frame walls you have going on. I just love your style. Really. What a great idea to tell a story with photos. Do you want to know what my walls are saying right now? My kitchen is saying...please repaint me in the pretty sage color you picked out. My dining room is saying...please hang that mirror. And my living room is saying...would you pick a paint color already! haha
ReplyDeleteVery cute. For right now, my walls say "What the heck is going on in her" (I'm redecorating and the place is a mess!!!)
ReplyDeleteBTW- I like the new banner you have at the top.
I ♥ your walls!
ReplyDeleteMy walls are pretty quiet right now, but I'm hoping they being having a pleasant conversation soon :-)
Love this post and the irony is that I have one typed up (without the pics loaded) that has been sitting in my drafts and I totally forgot about it. We have our house filled with words, phrases, bible verses...anyone who walks into either of our homes, knows that our walls talk, don't they ? :)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a great idea!!! We just moved into our house a few months ago and I haven't hung alot of stuff up yet. Might have to do something like this.
ReplyDeleteFYI, I awarded you with an award on my blog. Check it out!! :)
Sadly, so many of my walls are far too bare! I may just have to steal your idea here! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMine tell the story of how boring I am. :) The horse shoe is awesome. I might have to go attack a horse to get myself one of those!
ReplyDeleteWish I could comment on my regular blog that I post at now (www.sweetlimes.com) but the open id hates my site. If you can dig it I'd love you to switch your commenting so it includes name and url so I can keep commenting. I read all the time but never log in to blogger anymore. Had to tell you though.
Love all your pictures and frames. They look great. Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeleteI love this. We've been wanting to do something like this for awhile but, haven't gotten all of the frames yet. I like how it's not just photos that you have hung. I love looking at your ideas...so fun!
