Nothing screams more girly than pink and red hearts. Though I loving spending Valentine’s Day with the husband, I believe Valentine’s Day can also be a special day for girlfriends to get together. I have always wanted to host a Valentine’s themed party and this year I finally did…
This is my matching outfit-matching décor Sandra Lee pose…When all the lovely ladies arrived, we ate lunch, enjoyed some tea, chatted, and then got crafting…Each girl picked out there own design and I loved how each one ended up reflecting so much of their personality…Some of the “non-crafters” were very focused!Nothing like good food and something to keep your hands busy to inspire great conversation and bonding…I am one of those who gets nervous when everyone just sits there and talks…Many of my friends are from different seasons of life and it is a true blessing when we can all get together and let our worlds collide… The finished product…I am so proud… As many of you know, as I have shared before, that this past year has been a bumpy year as it pertains to relationships. I have learned to let go of people who bring me down and have been able to finally embrace and invest in true authentic relationships…with people who really know me…and love me… And it was a true blessing to realize that THESE are the women I need to be spending my time with…
I love how things like this start with paper hearts and frosting but evolve into so much more…life.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea!!! Looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful party... this reminds me so much of the get togethers that my mom has at our house. I am 2,000 miles from home and living on a military installation... doesn't really make get togethers at my house very easy. One day when we get settled somewhere permanently I hope to have many of these.

ReplyDeleteWOW that was an incredible set up! What fun. You are a great hostess! So cute too!
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely fun idea - I just love you. I was planning to have a tea party this summer but next year - Valentines would be fab. Especially after the crappy winter we have had here in MO. Something to brighten things up!! Your home is a fab backdrop also - everything is so neutral so when you add the color - it just pops. So inspiring!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea! I love that you incorporated a craft project for everyone into your party. Looks like you guys had so much fun!!
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me. I am hosting a mamas and babies Valentine's party on Monday and this morning I have been getting ready for it decor wise but I had kind of hit a wall. Thank you for the inspiration. I am now looking forward to it even more. I'm with Amanda, your quote about it starting with paper hearts and frosting and evolving into so much more is just wonderful! Kelly
ReplyDeleteLove this! The crafts are gorgeous and the attention to detail is impressive. My valentine confessions... I have a crush on your house and I want one of those cupcakes :)

I love your craft tea party! You have a great bunch of friends - I am so non-crafty I don't know if I'd even do it :)
ReplyDeleteAnd your table is lovely and big!
What a beautiful display. I feel like Marcia though. There is no way I can think up something that crafty either. Maybe if I just look at your pictures!
