My sister in law recently got married and I had the privilege of throwing her a little backyard bridal shower. It was a beautiful day with lovely flowers, close friends, and tasty treats.
My new thing is floating candles. I saw a similar setup at Crate and Barrel and replicated it in my little bird bath.
I set up all our dinnerware on this cute little spray painted kitchen stand turned backyard potting station {yep, I was spray painting it the day of the party!}.
We hung up these paper lanterns last year {left over from our wedding} in clusters from our large tree in the middle of the yard. It was fun to come up with something new this year…stringing them across the yard makes the yard look even bigger!
Just like the inside of my home, I am finding myself free to not just stick with all white décor, and instead, embrace accents of color and pattern.
Kasey Buick is always inspiring me…which lead to a vintage plate collection. Mismatched beautiful floral plates collected over time adding charm and beauty in each individual place setting.
I put out a couch, blankets, and pillows to bring a little of the inside outdoors. Slipcovers make dragging your couch into the grass so much less stressful!
Each girl got to take home their own little somethin-somethin. I had a $10 credit {Angel’s Reward Card} plus scored a panty sale of 7 for $25. Serious cuteness for just as much money for a less than exciting favor. I am not a big party favor girl because I think it is a waste of money, but if I can get a killer deal for something people will actually enjoy, then it is worth it {each girl also got a gift receipt if they did not want a size medium}.
Mini cupcakes sporting the bride and groom’s initials…
And some sweet treats that were fun and a little naughty…
My sister in law has some very sweet friends, making the whole wedding process even more enjoyable…
The bride to be…and now married woman…
And lovely friends…
A beautiful day complete.

ReplyDeleteThose cookies are AWESOME! I cannot wait until I can find some reason to make some like them. If I don't have a bridal shower then a girl's night might have to suffice cuz they would be perfect! Very creative :)
