Too often life gets the best of me and I forget how good I have it. I was having one of those days so I decided to put up some post-it-notes to serve as a reminder.
And I realized just how thankful I was… What would your post-its say?
Oh I LOVE this. So beautiful and uplifting. I have a note (not a post it but) on my corkboard that says 'Be thankful you're here for another beautiful day'. Lovely, lovely post :D
What a great idea! Even the most grounded among us can still benefit from the practice of gratitude. My post-its would say I'm thankful for: -Getting to share my life with my best friend and soulmate -Sunshine almost every day -The flexibility to work from home or wherever -Amazing participants who make it easy to get up at 5 a.m. to teach spinning and yoga -My tranquil little garden and its incredible cherry tomatoes -The ability to laugh at myself
I'm sure there's tons I'm forgetting, but that's what's top-of-mind right this second. Thank you for starting off my Monday with a reflection on how fortunate I am! :-)
What a great post, Ashley! I know I definitely need to be reminded of what I'm thankful for instead of stressing over things I don't have or can't control. :)
Great idea! You could also make them for a specific person to find throughout the day. For example "I'm thankful for your hard work." "I'm thankful for your love." "I'm thankful for your arms around me." etc... I think I'll do this for my hubs! Thanks for the inspiration!
