We found out just a few weeks ago that my dad had some heart health issues. It has been a really quick process with everything coming at us at once over the past few weeks. He has some tests on Monday that will determine what exactly is wrong and an already scheduled surgery for Thursday.
It's been a bit of a whirlwind for us. Going to doctor's appointments, being there for my overwhelmed momma, all after we had a crazy few days dealing with Valentine's Day at my mom's flower shop. You could say we haven't had much of a break yet.
This is the first real health issue that my immediate family has ever had to deal with which makes this whole thing hard to wrap my head around. Yes, I am an adult and no longer a child...and my parent's are getting older...and this is what happens with age. I guess you are never ready to accept this part of life.
So I share this with you all because I want you to know...and I know that you would want to know as well. So for you praying readers out there, I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we go into tests tomorrow to figure out what is wrong...and then for Thursday that the surgery goes well.
For the sake of giving all of my focus to my family this week I postponed already written posts for this week to be pushed back...plus it seemed weird to tell you all of this and then have happy posts uploading while you all knew secretly I was a hot mess at the hospital.
Thank you for your constant support and encouragement. Be back soon! xo
Sending you and your family loving healing energy this week, call me if you need anything or just want some support xoxoxo ~ Julia
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear this news. Please know that I will pray for you and your family, especially your dad this week! Prayer is powerful, as I have experienced in my life. My husband, father of four, in his thirties, had a life threatening experience. He was not supposed to live, but I believe that with all the people that we knew and didn't know praying for him (around the world we found out later) God heard our prayers!
ReplyDeletePraying for stength and healing,
Maria from Canada
