DIY Sheet Music Placemats

I had a few girlfriends over recently for a ladies lunch {more deets on that this week} and wanted to dress up the table.  I usually stick with my go to runners or tablecloths.  But I have been really loving the simple and rustic look of a bare table so I decided to try something new.

I taped together two pages of sheet music and some doilies to the corners for a simple but chic place mat.

Adorned with table settings, the place mats set the theme for a sweet afternoon lunch with friends.

I followed the place mat theme by placing doilies under mason jars filled with flowers from my yard.

And can I just say that my newly painted "almost white walls" make the perfect backdrop for these photos?  I am in love.

Inexpensive paper straws found here // Doilies: Party City // Sheet Music: thrift stores // Plates: Martha Stewart but they don't make them anymore {sad face}

How do you like to dress your dining table?

  2. Very cute. I think Kinkos does laminating in place mat size... so you could reuse them. :)
