Not wanting to do too much this year for my birthday, a few of my friends wanted to still get together to celebrate. I took this as an opportunity to put together a small ladies lunch but still chock full of pretty details.
I used a few of the decorations from my family birthday celebration and threw together some other paper decor using items from around the house. One of my recent entertaining goals has been to be resourceful with the items I already have on hand. I have learned what essentials I love but give more bang for the buck. Simple but pretty entertaining was the goal and I think this is the perfect example of a success!
I used DIY sheet music place mats and a few doilies to dress up a simple table. Fresh flowers cut from my garden make a pretty centerpiece.
I made some rolled fabric flowers to serve as place settings and a gift for my friends to take home.
Simple paper bunting and pinwheels combined with a candlestick collection made the room feel festive but not overdone.
And it added the perfect vignette for my book page wreath to take center stage.
Who knew paper could be so lovely? More paper garland and another book page wreath.
My mother in law bought me this beautiful Happy Birthday banner that I have been eying for a couple of years after seeing it on a blog. I love the simple design and color combinations all on it's sweet fabric. Looking forward to using it for many more years to come!
I served Cheesecake Factory inspired lettuce wraps. I used a recipe for the lettuce wraps I found online and then purchased the three sauces from Cheesecake Factory. The recipe in combination with the sauces is absolutely amazing! Adding this to one of my go-to entertaining recipes!
Another entertaining staple is strawberry lemonade. I use lemonade powder {Country Time if I am feeling indulgent and Crystal Light when I am watching the calories} served alongside frozen sweetened strawberries thawed. It is such an easy but delicious treat!
We had such a fun time we decided a regular ladies lunch was in order. I think a fall themed lunch will be happening very soon!
This looks like fun :) Decor was beautiful!
