Christmas in Old Town Sacramento

Last night my husband and I went out on a downtown Christmas date to Old Town Sacramento and to eat at The Firehouse.  The Firehouse is a very nice sit down, three course meal, kind of restaurant and Old Town gets decked out with lights for the holidays.  We head to Old Town at least once a year since we first started dating and it's old time nostalgia is always a romantic atmosphere for a date night out.

In Old Town they set up a fun little Christmas light show and people gather around in the middle of the street to see the show from both sides...even in the rain!

They also have the Delta King where you can have dinner on the river.  Still on my to do list of places to visit.  Maybe next Christmas...

And the night would not be complete without a photo in front of the big tree.  As always, we set up our tripod and then ran out into the middle of the street in the rain to take the picture.  Sometimes you have to sacrifice your curled hair and getting ran over by a car for the perfect picture.  Totally worth it in my opinion.
