I like change. I have always enjoyed moving things around. But as I have settled into my home this past year, with less stuff and a clearer focus, I change things less often. And when I do change things, I do not go out and buy new stuff like I used to. I have this new challenge in my home where everything I have I love, I just like to occasionally move it around.
I am in a color phase right now. Love it all. But the thing is, our bedroom has been like this for months. I really like it but it never got to a point where I was ready to settle with it. Currently our room is going back to a neutral phase but I forced myself to take pictures before I moved things around so you could see what we have been sleeping in the last few months.
It is sort of my blogging problem. I move stuff around and then live with it for awhile. It works for living and enjoying our home but I am not always ready to blog about it. So I decided this time around that I would show you my in between decor. Because really, it is lovely. Just not permanent. But what is permanent in my house anyways?
Hanging above the desk are my antlers holding a few of my favorite necklaces along side a Southern Nest Monogram. The drawers hold hair supplies and things like undies, in case you were wondering.
I was itching for more color so I hunted for art online and printed some out for our walls.
I am not a huge yellow person. I am really trying to embrace it. This set of matching pillows are a struggle for me. Why did I buy TWO yellow pillows? One is risky enough. But when I look at these photos, I think, I really like those yellow pillows. But yellow is just not comfortable for me (no offense yellow...I love you in other people's homes). Hence why this is not a permanent set up.
Yes, I have baskets under the bed and I honestly do not notice them until I go through the photos. Oh well, I am a real person, you know.
So there is my crazy colorful room. It has served us well. I am currently working on moving a few things around and will hopefully have another bedroom post to show you soon. But quite honestly it might be months, because that is how I roll (blogger problems).
// Do you take risks with decorating outside of your normal decorating box? Do you allow yourself to live with it for awhile or change it right away? Anyone else have blogger problems?
