As summer winds down we get a few last chances at entertaining in our backyard. My dad's birthday is in September and my husband's birthday is in late October. We are lucky enough to have bearable weather to continue enjoying our backyard. To celebrate my dad's birthday, I like to incorporate a few touches of fall to our party decor.
The day of the party was pretty hectic. Let's just say we had a broken fence we were fixing so I did not have as much time as I had planned the day of to set up. Crunched for time, I grabbed a few neutral runners and my fall centerpiece to dress up our table.
It was left to just a matter of picking out which napkins and paper straws to put out which I always have on hand. Life happens and so by having a streamlined entertaining system, we can still have a pretty party in the midst of a chaotic day.
The tissue paper decor was still left up on the lights from my birthday party last month. It took so long to hang up I figured I would try to make it last through one more party. They were definitely a shade lighter from the sun exposure but still festive nonetheless!
As it gets later into the year, our outdoor lights create the perfect ambiance sooner and sooner into the evening. It creates a cozy and laid back atmosphere that I love.
