31 Days of Serving My Husband: Day 23--Saying Yes {to Intimacy}

I want to be able to say that I always say yes but I do not.  I say yes more often than not but I still occasionally say no.

I definitely believe in marriage there needs to be freedom in the relationship to say no when it comes to intimacy.  That is not so much the point.  The point is, I want to be a woman who chooses to say yes more often for the sake of our relationship and for meeting my husband's needs.

There are different philosophies on if a spouse should always say yes or not but I do not believe there is one right answer.  I think it comes down to the heart, just like everything else.

Courtney from Women Living Well openly talks about it on her blog and here on the Rachel Ray show about how she almost always says yes.  I personally find it inspiring.  It is not the lifestyle for everyone but I hope that we can still find encouragement from her story.

  1. definetly food for though. I've always wanted to be a house wife, i would not mind my Hubs taking care of the financials, and I of the home...saying yes to everything is a little harder for me...

  2. Thanks for sharing this, and for posting the video! I'm currently a house wife (with no kids yet) and this video was inspiring. It's definitely a heart and attitude to pray towards!

  3. This is definitely food for thought. I am also a housewife with no kids yet. I tend to say no more than yes. I really need to work on this!!!
