Summer Patriotic Porch

At the end of May I like to switch out my spring wreath and put out our flag buntings for the summer.  I do not decorate much indoors, so our few little patriotic decorations for the porch are just perfect for a minimalistic summer.

While this is far from Christmas or fall decorations, I always enjoy seeing my neighbors also keep out their flag for the season.  It feels like we are all in unison.  I love seeing all those flags flapping in the wind.

You know I live in California, right?  Please don't judge our drought lawn.

For our door, I picked up a simple patriotic bow to put on our wreath.  I wish I would have picked a different colored ribbon to hang it on, but I don't hate it enough to take the time to change it!
