New York City: Preschool Lesson Plan

For our preschool learning time, we recently did a unit on New York City! It was so fun to "travel" to one of my favorite cities. And extra special that our son was with us when we went to New York a couple of years ago.

For these preschool lesson plans, we spend a week focusing on one topic. I pick out a few books and look for a few activities on Pinterest. Here is what we did:

D A Y // 1

+ Read All Aboard! New York
+ Statue Of Liberty craft: paper plate for the crown and toilet paper roll for the torch
+ Watched a YouTube video about New York City

We even got baby girl to wear it for a minute!

 D A Y // 2

+ Read Count On The Subway (a fun souvenir from our trip!)
+ Skyscraper craft - using construction paper and tissue paper for the windows

D A Y // 3

+ Read New York: A Book Of Colors
+ Made taxi cab craft using popsicle sticks

 D A Y // 4

+ Read Little Blue Truck Leads The Way
+ New York City coloring pages

D A Y // 5

+ Read Toot Toot Beep Beep
+ Made Banana Pudding from Magnolia Bakery in NYC
+ Magnatiles skyscraper building
