I thought maybe you would want to join me on the back porch for some fresh lemonade...oh...it's raining? Never mind...
Isn't she a beaut? Um...yeah sick. Even worse...they belonged to the neighbors on trash pick up day...Yes, I confess...I steal from trash pick up day...oh my...please still keep reading... ;)Well she had some stains so I thought I'd pressure wash her. I heart the pressure washer by the way...it is a miracle worker!And...well...the stains came out...but so did the paint...ooops! Okay, okay...thank goodness for spray paint...The twins look much better now. And well...the pillows are posed...I took them out of the wintery weather as soon as I was done taking this picture...oh the things you do to stage a good blog post! ;)
P.S. I buy spray paint from Wal-Mart...for 96 cents. I figure if it wears sooner than later it will match all the shabby chic...Yeah, but Brent also uses this excuse when he puts his dirty feet and tools on my beautifully painted furniture..."it's shabby chic right?" he says...ewww...good thing I steal from trash day so I don't pass out over "shabby chic" thousand dollar furniture!
Oh, and I didn't intend for this to be a confessional...a little too much information about myself I guess...please still like me ;)

I wish our neighbors had such good trash. I would snatch it too!
ReplyDeleteThey look great! You need some outdoor fabric pillows. OR you could spray paint a black fleur-de-lis onto them. OR you could leave them just like they are.
ReplyDeleteGood Job!
I agree with Melanie C... too bad I live in the ghetto where we are nearly the only ones who actually take out our trash. :) Everyone else lives in their trash. Ha! These chairs look great! Good job!
ReplyDeleteI love the chocolate brown and I am another lover of the 96 cent paint! Great job, the chairs rock!
ReplyDeletesuch a huge change! i love it!
ReplyDeleteI am a spray paintacholic... I love spray paint! It covers a mulititude of sin and is fun to pick from all the wonderful colors. Great job and love the pillows too...
ReplyDeleteLOVE the brown chairs...especially with the blue pillows! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteThose chairs look great! I agree with the cheap paint, the quicker it chips, the cooler it looks.
ReplyDeleteFabulous. Isn't spray paint great? I am thinking of buying a truckload of white spray paint and painting everything white in my place....okay, I won't go that crazy, maybe just some things. :) Helps with the dreary weather here in Oregon. :)
ReplyDeletePower washers are awesome! Good job!
ReplyDeleteOH.MY.GOSH. I love your shabby chic side! I have the same "twins" in my backyard and have almost resorted to throwing them out because they are so... ghastly to look at. After your inspiration, I'm off to Wal-Mart to complete my Sunday afternoon project! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteGreat choice in color... the brown that is.

ReplyDeletevery impressive. I had no idea you could spray paint chairs like this!
ReplyDeleteI have these same chairs and was gonna give them a facelift. Did you use the cheap spray paint you were talking about, or did you get the kind made especially for plastic?
