Spell it out...your decoration that is. I love monograms and banners...there is something about words and letters that are so simple but so fun. I put away the paint and took out some paper for these recent projects...
I have not decided what to put in the bird cage yet, but until then a little banner dresses it up a bit.
I love these easy monograms. I got the idea from
Joys of Home. All you do is print out a letter off the computer, cut it out, and tape it on a plate! EASY! And when you want to change it, just rip it off! No free hand, no stenciling...sounds like a dream to me!
And for overachievers...a little free hand...
Simple wood cut outs from the craft store also work for the lazy crafter! You know who you are... ;)
So go dress up your walls with lovely letters...we all have names so no excuses...
What do you like to monogram?
Ashley, again INSPIRATION!! Love the ideas and plan on trying a few as soon as I get a free moment!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute once again, you rock! I love the "nest" idea. (that's going on my birdcage)
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for a giant "N" for my living room. I'm so going to the craft store today. I love the way that "U" looks inside the frame.
Pretty birdcage with banner! Thanks for the lettering info. I've got a few places to try that!
ReplyDeleteI haven't ever monogramed something. Perhaps it's time I start!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this!
ReplyDeleteAnd I just adore your profile photo. Ashley, you are as cute as a bug in a rug!
So beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteLove that vintage banner! jen
ReplyDeleteI love the font on the spring banner. I'm making a felt banner for my kiddo's bed and that reminds me to get crackin'!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! I love the lil banner on the birdcage!
ReplyDeleteAs always...Very cute, and full of great ideas.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those lazy crafters. HEE HEE

Great ideas! Love the Spring banner & the Vintage one. I am a letter-aholic for sure. I love letters and banners!
ReplyDeleteAll of those banners and monograms are so pretty! Love the one on the birdcage! Very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteOh gees...I loved all of these pics! They were all so cute! I had to laugh at your comment about the fire. It is definitely a thorn in my husband's side that I feel the need to have it on from the minute I get home until I go to bed. I try turning it on in the summertime, but he puts his foot down on that one! :(
ReplyDeletetoo cute!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! I love your banners! Nice job!

Sooooo cute! I haven't done a lot of monograms in decorating (love them on the girls' clothes and on bags!). But I did paint the initials of my younger daughter's name in purple with bright green borders...haven't hung them yet though.
ReplyDeletethose are amazing, I need to get on it and make some for my sons' pictures around the house. even I can handle a black frame with an initial. It might be hung crooked, but...
ReplyDeleteWhat great banners. I love monograms - one of the reasons I have an embroidery machine! Now I'm trying to not have TOO many monograms around the home (can there be such a thing?)
ReplyDeleteI love the Spring banner! So cute and a great way to decorate! I want to make one for my mantle!
ReplyDeleteI love making gifts with monograms. I'm making a little ragamuffin wreath for Ralph's niece's birthday this weekend, and I'm putting a wooden 'S' in the middle for her name. Kids love it when their monograms are on their stuff :)
I definatly love me some monograms. I have letters all over the place in my house. I can't get enough of them. I bought myself some supplies this week to start my first banner. I'm not quiet sure where I will hang it but your post got me ready to go. Thanks girl!
ReplyDeleteI love the monogram ideas but I also have to ask did you paint the dresser yourself?? If so, do you have a previous post about it. I am new to your blog but LOVING it. I have a similar dresser that I'd love to repaint with an aged look. Yours is just what I have in mind.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun ideas! I love the plate idea and since I am a lazy crafter! I really love the frame with the cut out. What a cute site you have! I'll be back soon!
ReplyDeleteOh so cute...
ReplyDelete...and I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who just can't decide what to go in a birdcage! It's killing me that it's empty but I just can't find the perfect thing :)
Love all these great ideas!
ReplyDeleteLove it! You make it sound so simple! I love your "Spring" draped across your dresser. Totally cute!
ReplyDeletesuch cute ideas!
ReplyDeleteLove all of the banners and that bird cage, be still my heart!!
