Is there such a thing as too many pillows?

Please come in and sit down...oh, you can't? There is no room with all the pillows?
I cannot seem to stop buying pillows.
I like to find forms to sew my own...
I have to pick up cheap ones on clearance...
And the thrift store has such beautiful vintage ones I just cannot live without! (And yes, my Easter decor is still out...St. Patrick's Day too!)
Since I have such a large collection, I try to be creative in finding new places to set them.
What is my decorating style? Does pillows everywhere count as one?
When the weather clears up a little I am planning on putting some outside...in planter boxes, hanging from trees...I mean, on the patio furniture...

So, is there such thing as too many pillows?
...maybe...

What do you think? Where do you put all your pillows?

  1. Great collection! I got lots of pillows on my bed. Just love to "jump" on my bed and be surrounded by them. So comfy!

  2. You are hilarious! Um I don't think there is such a thing as too many pillows. There's maybe room for one person on my long couch. Lol! Hmmm...the pillow on the toilet..I MIGHT do that. LOL

  3. I need you, my domestic sewing goddess, to come help me with my pillows. You can't have too many but mine all look like they have been thrown up on, jumped on, snorted on...oh yea - they probably have. I need sewing lessons. :)

And I just put away my Easter stuff yesterday - oh yes I did.

  4. That IS a fab collection of pillows. I'd say they can go anywhere but the bathroom, because then they'll get wet and possible stinky. Blech!!! I still have some Valentine's Day stuff out. . . hmmm perhaps I should put life on pause for a moment and decorate for the spring. . .

  6. Oh yes...LOVE me some pillows! I too have an abundance of them. But with 4 kids and one hubby who prefer to sit on the couch sans pillows...most of them end up on the floor. That does NOT make mommy happy! I also have some big throw pillows for all the beds. Where do you think those are? Yep, you guessed it...on the floor. I just can't win around here.

  7. How funny! My husband says that if it takes you longer to take off the pillows than the hours you sleep in the bed, it is TOOOOO many pillows!

    Thanks for sharing.

  11. I love your toilet pillow. I love big pillows. My grandmother made me feather pillows when I got married. I of course insisted on custody when we got divorced. Don't come between me and my feather pillows.

  12. I CANNOT show my husband this post or he's gonna want a pillow for the toilet...too funny! :) I love pillows, but like some of the other said, my kids (or husband) rip 'em off the couch/chairs and they end up on the floor. I am hoping to try and make my own soon with some leftover muslin! :)

  15. Hanging from trees. Haha, love it. Yesterday I was giving a great big thought as to what color pillows I want in my living room. I found some great white and black polka dot pillow covers that I fell in love with. I got a lot of inspiration from this post!

  18. I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who still has her Easter decorations still out. But, more embarassing are the snowmen sitting on the dining room table.
I don't know...a pillow on the toilet may not be such a bad idea. lol

  23. Don't know if it qualifies as "too many", but it's a bunch of them!

{hangs head and mumbles} I only have pillows on the beds...no decorative ones at all.
