A little red, white, and blue appeared around the house today. The bold colors are hard to tie in with the rest of the home but just a few hints give a sense of patriotism without being too over the top. I picked up a few little flags and these fun firecracker stars for a pop of American red, white, and blue. Get out the sparklers! What are your Independence Day traditions?

Oooh, adorable!!! I haven't yet started decorating for independence day but now that you've inspired me. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so cute! I love the stars! We usually wake up, have a ncie breakfast and go out to see the parade. Brazil's Indepence Day is Sepetember 7th. I never get to see my family and do theses things anymore but now with my american family we love to celebrate and bbq together. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteTres cute! :) I love your stars. :) We don't do a lot for the 4th. Growing up, we were always at the beach. I'd like to go see the fireworks this year, but we'll have to see when T is working....
ReplyDeleteThe 4th will be here before you know it! And you're all ready!
ReplyDeleteI love it!! What cute little star sparklers:) We get together on my husband's side and have a huge family reunion with tons of food, parades, fireworks, swimming, and laughter. Definitely my favorite holiday{it's also my son's birthday so we throw in a little party for him too}
ReplyDeleteLOve that flag of colors so symbolic. I put up my flags too. And we remember...
ReplyDeleteI bought some flag the three packs in the dollar section at Target and I teas stained them, I was going for the antique aged look... They turned out GREAT! Now I suppose I should decorate with them!
ReplyDeleteHeavens to Betsy those sparkly red, white, and blue stars are too cute! I must have some. Did you make them or buy them?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the sparkly stars! Where did you find them? I also like Jen's idea to tea stain some flags; I love the antique look!
ReplyDeleteThis year we're having a first family reunion; there are going to be tons of people and I can't wait!

I loved all of the flags... it was like an Easter egg hunt. I kept wondering after each picture, where's she going to put the next one?
ReplyDeleteLove your flags, of course, but the sparkly stars are especially adorable!!
ReplyDeleteFor our 4th celebration, we will visit my sister, who lives in the mountains of NC. There is a 4th of July Festival there called Christmas in July that we love to go to. Plus, my brother-in-law's sister always has a big 4th party and we go to that. We cap it off with fireworks. We will also go tubing in the river sometime that weekend. That is so much fun!
Love & blessings from NC!
How festive and patriotic!
ReplyDeleteI like the simplicity of the Flags. I mean it's very to the point without being gaudy!!
