Monogrammed Guest Book Plates

CIMG1347When thinking of what type of creative guest book I wanted to have for my wedding…I had to think of something that would be meaningful to me that fit with my style of decor.  The normal guest book seemed too boring and likely to collect dust while the framed autographed photo seemed too typical.  What would look good hanging in my house, that could serve as a memory of our guests on this special day… CIMG1343…plates…of course…

…from the dollar tree…

…written with a Sharpie…

…much more like me…CIMG1344The middle plate is monogrammed with our initials…and hanging on each side will be two blank plates that our guests can sign with a skinny little sharpie on our wedding day.   Perfect.CIMG1345You all aren’t getting married…so tell me how else this could be used…new home…birth of a baby…

what about a child's party where the kids draw something?
a wedding gift but instead of a sharpie you use vinyl lettering

  4. I LOVE this idea. When my sister moved to Florida, all the girls got together and painted plates for her at our local pottery. Each plate is unique to the painter, but together, she has a wonderful collage from her friends.

  6. A very cute idea. I'm already happily married and have a guest book collecting dust, but I think the monogram plate would be so cute hanging in our house.

  16. This is such a great idea.

Cheap to do, but doesn't look cheap.

Great for a new baby too. What a great keepsake once everyone signs it.
