My Spray Painted Dollar Tree Wedding

CIMG1298While registering at Sear’s, I saw this darling little floral display and decided I would like something like this for my wedding…but, of course, at a fraction of the cost. CIMG1317So mom and I headed to our favorite little place…the Dollar Tree…CIMG132275 bundles of flowers…20 somethin' containers…CIMG1319Making my mother pose by the Arizona tea…CIMG1324We got to work…plastic containers soon to be transformed into shabby white flower boxes…CIMG1325CIMG1326 A whole lot of spray paintin goin on…CIMG1327And this is what happens when you spray paint in the garage with fans running, bare foot.  And no kidding here…I looked in the mirror and my nose hairs were white!  At least no one passed out…CIMG1328

The finished product coming soon…

  1. You've got a great idea. I love finding ways to make something I've seen at a fraction of the cost. You seem like your doing things the right way and can't wait to see the finished project.

  14. I'm so excited about seeing all of the great things I know you'll put together for your wedding! I can't wait to see the end product of these.
And I love the Dollar Tree. So many great items that can be turned into crafts- and even if the craft fails, it only cost a dollar!

  16. You go girl! It's going to look awesome. :) For our wedding reception, I stuck some goldfish in little bowls for each table. It wasn't as pretty, plus the groomsmen got the horrible idea to have goldfish-drinking contests. No lie. They even made my husband down a couple. It was not pretty.

  17. Your arrangements are going to be beautiful!!! I am right there with you on the painted feet1 LOL!
I have been spraypainting some kitchen chairs black. I wore an old pair of sandals and my feet got covered in black mist from the spray paint. Even the bottoms of my feet were black. The next time I wore an old pair of socks. Live and learn, as the saying goes! Can't wait to see your finished arrangements. Love & blessings from NC!
