Our first summer of marriage has been spent doing a whole lot of this… Oh the joys of being married and having a home…But it has definitely been worth it. We put in automatic sprinklers, planted plants, and put down a cement border. Now if only our grass would grow better… My husband is very handy and puts up with my decorative ways… This handy tool allowed us to make the cement have a curvy “professional” look to it (picked up at Harbor Freight). Add water, add cement, lay cement, repeat…all…night…long…And it is proving to be so worth all the work… What have you done to your yard this year?

Wow,that is looking great! Unfortunately, we haven't done anything to our yard this year except watch it die, ugh. The heat was too much for it. I have dreams of gardens in my head, I need to make them a reality. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Handy husbands are the best. :) We didn't do much to our yard this year. The flowers I planted got seriously fried in this summer's scorching heat, but they were nice while they lasted. :)
ReplyDeleteOooh I didn't know they sold tools for that. Seems like it'd be WAY cheaper than buying the curbing pieces.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so good! Great Job!
ReplyDeleteThe husband and I have completely neglected our yard this year We've just been so busy! :(
Your cement borders look amazing!!! Great job. So professional looking. I have not done much in my yard this summer, as we are re-finishing our upstairs. I can only do one big project at a time. Love & blessings from NC!
