Putting In A Garden

CIMG9133Our first summer of marriage has been spent doing a whole lot of this…CIMG9138 Oh the joys of being married and having a home…CIMG0048But it has definitely been worth it.  We put in automatic sprinklers, planted plants, and put down a cement border.  Now if only our grass would grow better…CIMG0049 CIMG0050 My husband is very handy and puts up with my decorative ways…CIMG0052 CIMG0055 This handy tool allowed us to make the cement have a curvy “professional” look to it (picked up at Harbor Freight).  CIMG0056 Add water, add cement, lay cement, repeat…all…night…long…CIMG0061And it is proving to be so worth all the work…CIMG0125 CIMG0128 What have you done to your yard this year?

  1. Wow,that is looking great! Unfortunately, we haven't done anything to our yard this year except watch it die, ugh. The heat was too much for it. I have dreams of gardens in my head, I need to make them a reality. Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. Very cool! Handy husbands are the best. :) We didn't do much to our yard this year. The flowers I planted got seriously fried in this summer's scorching heat, but they were nice while they lasted. :)

  3. Oooh I didn't know they sold tools for that. Seems like it'd be WAY cheaper than buying the curbing pieces.

  5. Your cement borders look amazing!!! Great job. So professional looking. I have not done much in my yard this summer, as we are re-finishing our upstairs. I can only do one big project at a time. Love & blessings from NC!
