Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes

DSC_0156-1I found this cookie dough cupcake recipe from the blog Kevin and Amanda.  And let me just say it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.  I’m just saying.  If you want the full recipe head on over to their blog.  But you could easily make this with store bought ingredients or your own favorite recipe for cake and cookie dough.  So…in a nut shell…this is how it is done…

Freeze your cookie dough in balls overnight.  This helps keep it doughy when it cooks in the cupcake instead of cooking all the way through (their recipe for cookies does not have any raw egg).  DSC_0075 Fill cupcake liners with cupcake batter.  Plop a cookie dough ball right on top.DSC_0082 My ratio of cookie dough to cake was a little off.  Note to self, smaller cookie dough balls.  But for the most part the cookie dough drops right down leaving a nice clean top.  DSC_0113 Then top with frosting.  They share a cookie dough frosting.  It is divine.  DSC_0119 And there is your little surprise inside!DSC_0129This recipe is a show stopper.  All your friends and family are going to love you.  You’re welcome. 4. What a great find! So does the dough in the middle stay doughy, like in cookie dough ice cream (possibly the best invention of the 20th century, by the way), or does it get baked a little? Just curious... I bet it's delicious either way.

    xoxo,
    Tanja
