The Beginnings of Our {Very Small} Master Bath :: Changing Mirrors

DSC_0660If you have not noticed, I tend to decorate before I paint…I think it gives me inspiration {and probably courage} to commit to a color.   This is probably backwards for most people but it works for me.

I took down the medicine cabinet {imagine a wood one painted white—it wasn’t terrible but far from chic}.  DSC_0610Enter $10 thrift store mirror…yep, ten bucks.  It is gorgeous.  Not having the bulkyness opens up our tiny space so much more…why didn’t I do this before?  And between the new painted bedroom walls and how the light reflects off the silver and gold specks of the mirror…it is quite stunning.    DSC_0602 I added a few little updates as well…I took out our towel bar {because who said you HAVE to have one} and added a small hook instead.  DSC_0610 (2) So I still need some paint on the walls and on the sink counter…but I am still deciding on colors.  For now I am just enjoying the mirror…

What SMALL changes have you made that have made a BIG impact?

  3. I'd say you're on your way!! It looks pretty great. All 4 of us share a TINY upstairs bath. We took down the medicine cabinet a few years ago, and it really does make a difference. It is frustrating to live in a 1970s home b/c they just didn't lay things out well. :s

  6. What a score! We don't have a lot of storage in our bathroom so we got a medicine cabinet with shelves in it. It's only 6 years old and it's totally falling apart already.
