I think this recipe is easily going to make it in my top 5 favorites in the cookbook Deceptively Delicious {I love it so much I am even going to sneak you the recipe!}. If you have missed the last few posts, I am cooking through Deceptively Delicious…Julie & Julia style. These frozen yogurt pops are incredible!
Frozen Yogurt Pops
-2 cups plain lowfat yogurt {I used goat’s milk as I hear it is supposed to be kinder to those of us who are lactose intolerant}
-2 cups frozen berries {strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, or cherries}
-1/2 to 3/4 cup confectioner’s sugar {I splurged and went for the 3/4}
Blend in a blender or food processor. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze.
Now these things are A-mazing! And super delicious as a yogurt drink. I even made some more the next night and added a couple of scoops of ice cream. I realize this defeats the whole purpose but it was truly spectacular. I am in l-o-v-e. And only about 100 calories a pop. Love that.
Popsicle molds from Ross. We have some shaped as rockets as well. And we do not have kids.
Shout out to Mindi who is joining me cook through Deceptively Delicious. She made some pumpkin puree oatmeal! YUM! If you want to join us…cooking one healthy recipe a week, let me know! I would love to hear what you are cookin’ up!
Thanks for the Shout-out, Ashley! I am making the applesauce muffins this morning to enjoy with my lil guy for breakfast. Those yogurt pops look really good and are on my list for a couple of weeks from now. Cant wait to try them! :)
ReplyDeleteWe made the tacos at our house last week, and they were a big hit, even with the kiddies!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like the perfect treat!!! I've also been digging the tiny little single portions of Skinny Cow ice cream...much better for me than a big bowl of Ben and Jerry's or something along those lines.
ReplyDeleteI love your popsicle molds!! :)
Yum! I always make yogurt or fresh fruit pops for my girls, it's a good way to sneak in some healthy-ness :)
ReplyDeleteThose look super good! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great treat - my kids would love these! And so would I.
ReplyDeleteI got both of these books for Christmas and I love the lasagna! I'm not sure which one it was in, but sooo good :)
ReplyDeleteYour blog is awesome! I'm working my way through Double Delicious, Jessica's other book. :)
