I met Jacque, of Old Soul Studios a few years ago at an antique show, fell in love with her iron hearts {the one hanging on the white picket fence in our dining room}, and started running into her at my favorite thrift store. Through blogging and thrifting, we have built a fun little friendship surrounded around our common passion for creativity. I recently met up with Jacque and her husband James, in their home, to see their work space and some projects they are preparing for the upcoming Roseville Antique Market.
Something I admire about their business is that they are able to work together, offering different talents to their business, making one of a kind pieces. He welds and she shops and designs. Because really, who doesn’t love a good husband, welding a giant crown for his wife?
Another aspect of their business I think is especially cool is that they recycle old materials to make new items. A girl after my own heart….thrifting and junking to find awesome old pieces and finding ways to make them even better.
Their yard is pretty taken over right now by all their beautiful creations for the upcoming show…giving me plenty of eye candy to photograph.
They live in this little old darling red home…so perfectly reflecting their business and lifestyle.
Jacque chooses a theme for each show and this year’s is a whimsical Alice in Wonderland garden. I cannot wait to see how she ends up putting it all together {and do not worry…I will show you!}.
Please stop by Jacque’s blog and tell her that you are visiting from Domestic Fashionista.
You can also find Old Soul Studios on Facebook {check out dates for shows and where their product is being sold locally}.
