I don’t know about you, but it feels like we haven’t really had much spring like weather the past few years. More like rain to 100 degree heat. We worked on the backyard recently in preparation for a bridal shower I was throwing {which I will be sharing on Monday}. Since then it has been rained on quite a bit but we leave it up all through summer.
Typical garden work days…my parents come over and help my husband and I direct everyone and take pictures. Someone has to be the creative artist, right? {wink}
We picked up a new chandelier from a yard sale. I think we paid about $10. Spray painted it white {and eventually got some light bulbs for it}. After the summer I want it to go in my craft room {that I did end up cleaning but is nothing special at the moment that is why I have not shared about it yet} but it is pretty spectacular for outside so I will have to think about it.
And, of course, we had to enjoy all our hard work at the end of the day…
What are you doing in the yard this year?
Love the light strings - this is very similar to what I want to do. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteYour backyard looks great and what great help you had!
ReplyDeleteI've got a ton of plants in pots on the deck and have been working on our garden bed.
Love the last few photos, such a unique perspective!
Those lights make me so happy. Taking notes from when we finally get a yard.
