We hosted a little backyard birthday party for my mother in law. It was a perfect sunny evening {considering the rain the day before}, so we lucked out and enjoyed an evening outdoors.
I put out my collection of bright mismatched plastic serving and dinner pieces that I have been collecting…
I made our favorite ice cream cake…using a gluten free cake mix {by Betty Crocker} for my MIL…and it was just as good!
Yummy treats on beautiful plates…I really love our white plates that we use everyday but I am finding for celebrations, it is fun to dress up the table with my mismatched plates. It adds color and character and plus I love that I can fall in love with each individual plate creating a unique collection.
As the sun came down, we enjoyed our cake, mood lighting, and a round of scattergories…
Love your outdoor parties! I wish we had a big backyard! P.S. I love your chandelier!
ReplyDeleteIn other news: I keep trying to blog and my blogger won't work, or my photo's won't upload... Not cool.

ReplyDeleteLooks like a great time!!!
ReplyDeleteI need to know how you got lights on the trees on the opposite side of the yard from your house. I would LOVE to light up the tree in the back corner of my yard where the patio table is now, but I can't quite figure out how.
ReplyDeleteanother great party!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love all the lights, what a great place to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteLove it! It is simple, charming, relaxing and fun! The best part is that the focus is on just being together! And your movie nights? Bliss. I am going to have to do that!! Here is my question do you own the projection system? I am wondering what that costs. Would be a great investment, providing years of fun in my opinion!
