A Pretty Organized Kitchen

DSC_0573
I shared awhile back about my new and improved kitchen.  I added color, got rid of unused items, and put out all my pretty kitchen things on display.  Not only is it pretty but it is also much better organized.  Everything is labeled and in a pretty container.  A dream come true.
First, I must share where my kitchen organization inspiration comes from…my Crate and Barrel catalog.  Pages are filled with dreamy organization that is not only beautiful but easy to see and accessible.  I thought such a thing only happened in catalogs.  Whenever I find some inspiration for the kitchen I hang it up on the refrigerator to get to at some point.  It is a daily reminder of what could be.  On the refrigerator right now is what I dream the inside of my refrigerator might look like one day…I have a lot of work to do…

I am really excited about this new TV stand I found for free on the side of the road.  It is yet to be painted but it replaces my old kitchen rolling cart.

What I love about it is that it adds a little extra height, a place to put my cutting boards {which seemed to be an impossible task for awhile}, and more storage that can hide behind doors.  It takes up no extra space but adds so much more storage!

And possibly my most favorite part of my new organization is the spices.  I hated pulling out twenty little containers out of the cabinet just to get one item.  No more of that…

I found the glass containers at TJ Maxx and Marshall’s {they have tons of Crate and Barrel like glass containers for a great price} and used my Cricut to cut black contact paper which I wrote on with my chalk board pens.  And of course, you know I never like to quite finish a project, hence the to be labeled post-it notes.

And a similar setup for all my baking ingredients.  White containers are from Crate and Barrel but are unfortunately discontinued.  The glass square stackables are collected from thrift stores and yard sales.  All labeled the same as my spices.

Cereal, snacks, and pasta all organized in clear stacking Ikea storage containers.  I would like to paint the rest of the inside of my cabinets green like this one.

And a blurry picture of our pantry…not quite as beautiful but still organized none the less.

Pretty, organized, easily accessible…dreamy words describing my new and improved kitchen.  Food prep is so much easier and I enjoy my time in the kitchen so much more.  Well worth the hard work!
What do you love about your kitchen?
