The summer is a busy birthday time for my family and it is my pleasure to be able to host so many of them in our own backyard. My mom’s birthday was early this summer and we celebrated with close friends and family.
The birthday girl…lounging with a magazine {she always tells me, “I better where something nice because I might end up on your blog!” wink.}…
One of my favorite table cloths that I found at a thrift store…always on a hunt for vintage styled table cloths…
I am learning to serve options for people…this time I made cupcakes and brownies with and without frosting. For those trying to watch their figure, a little less guilt. I know that I hate it when people are trying to shove more food down my throat. I want to give people the choice of whether they want to indulge or not…and not take it personally. Whether or not people eat it or eat a ton of it, I know that it is delicious but want to be respectful of people’s diets.
As you can see, not much has changed…there was an adult’s table and a kid’s table!
And look at my adorable nephew!!! I could just eat him up!
Happy Birthday Mom!
What a beautiful birthday! Happy Birthday to your mom!
ReplyDeleteAnd that's something I need to work on: options at a party. :)
Your yard always looks so beautiful for the parties that you throw!
ReplyDeleteI love all the details you thought of! The dangling mason jar vases, the floating candles in the bird bath...so creative!
ReplyDeleteYour nephew is darling!
I just love all your backyard parties!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks great as always! I love how you mixed the chairs and tables! So cute. And the cupcake idea is great.
ReplyDeleteIt's the drool monster!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have the perfect yard for entertaining! Nice, big, square andd shade!
Love it! Your nephew is TOO CUTE!!!! Oh my stars...
ReplyDeleteYou have such lovely parties, Ashley!
ReplyDeleteI love your back garden set up for the party - it looks beautiful. Chances of that happening in Ireland are slim - it rains too much - guests would have to bring their own brollies!
ReplyDeleteMy cousin on facebook today - I love Northern Ireland in the summer - it's my favorite day of the year!!!! (yes - few days of sun so far, and here in France it has not been much better this week, but still having a fab time)
What a fun party!! Such cute details :)
