For Christmas last year I made all the girls in my family jewelry cork boards. I started one for myself...but like most things...didn't actually finish it until six months later.
The long wait was worth it...I just love it! And since I have gotten back into necklace wearing this year, I have room for a more growing collection.
I got the idea from my sweet real life friend Ashlee who shares the tutorial on her blog.
And honestly, I think it is that turquoise necklace that makes this thing absolutely stunning...
Cork board, burlap, and empty frame...easy peasy...go make one for yourself!
Looks so pretty in your room too. Love the pop of color from that neacklace!!!
ReplyDeleteI've seen these on Pintrest. I'd love to make one for myself! I need to. I made someone a memo board for their graduation, and have a frame to make Bree one. And I still haven't made hers yet. That's been over a month now.
ReplyDeleteI love that! I have been thinking about doing something similar, since I have a place to hang my earrings, but my necklaces are just strewn in a bunch of little bowls. :-) I think your finished product helps me make up my mind.
ReplyDeleteOoh I want one! But mostly I want that JCrew necklace. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the knobs on that! Too cute

ReplyDeleteI need to create something for my jewelry what I have going on now isn't working...
I'm going to see if I can do something like this, so cute!
Xoxo
that is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI keeps seeing these done. I think they are so adorable.
ReplyDeleteSO pretty, I made one similar a few years ago but then I could never decide which pieces to put on it and then I just gave up. :D
ReplyDeleteI've made one, but out of chicken wire! I blogged about it here: http://mrshahndaydreams.blogspot.com/2012/01/diy-jewelry-holder.html
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute, Ashley! I love the idea of having my chunkier necklaces on display!
ReplyDeletei have one just like that!
ReplyDeletewhat happened to your banner?
I love it!!! I am addicted to necklaces - they can totally make an outfit! I had my hubby put in cup hooks on the inside of a closet door in our bathroom to utilize unused space to hang my gobs of necklaces. It's one of the best things ever.
