For my mom's birthday this year I made her a photo book of pictures of our family from the last year. I made this book with Shutterfly because I got a random coupon at the checkout line at Target {thank you Target!!!}. Though my go to is Blurb, I have been very happy with the quality of Shutterfly books.
I went with one of their pre-made layouts that had a scrapbook feel. For compiling a bunch of photos I thought this looked best {and was so much easier than designing one myself}.
Needless to say, she absolutely loved it. Here are some snapshots from the book.
One of my favorite features of Shutterfly is their glossy covers. They really stand out all the while keeping the book protected.
Now if only I could get some of my own photo books done...!
Your blog redesign looks awesome, very simple and clean! And I love that photo book!! I've ordered some photo books from Shutterfly as well, and I agree...they're great! (I just said that like Tony the Tiger in my head)
ReplyDeleteI am having serious issues with the mobile app of not just your blog but all blogs. I noticed cg disabled hers and that was a life saver for me. I have to manually click "view web version" every time I want to see your blog normally and your ads and sometimes just to see your pics properly. That's just my experience do any of your other readers have this problem. Off to check your site properly lol
ReplyDeleteLove it! What a wonderful and personal gift!! The last few books I've made were with Blurb but I do love the glossy cover of my Shutterfly books! Funny how those little details stand out!
ReplyDeleteI love shutterfly's covers! I want to give blurb a try, but for the price (and ease!) you just can't beat Shutterfly... Last week I got an email from them where I can send free book coupons to 5 new customer friends, so with both my mother and m-i-l's birthdays coming up, I think they'll be definitely be on that list of friends getting referred!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! I'm going to have to do this one of these days :)
ReplyDeleteDid you do all of the layouts for this book in shutterfly? Or did you use a seperate program and load the finished pages into Shutterfly? I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I always make my own in PSE, but I am getting mighty behind on all of my scrapbooking because it is just too hard to do it all! I will definitely have to try it this way. :)
