Stock Up On Experiences

Stock up on experiences.

"Recently my wife and I returned from a biking trip abroad.  We had bought some stuff, mainly clothes, that you don't find here.  It's nice to tell ourselves those items will remind us of the trip, but they're bound to go the way of all things cotton or wool.  What will live on are the moments, captured in memory or snapshots or both.  And that's what I call money well spent."

As I embark on summer time adventures, cleaning out our home, and looking at how I do life, I am going to try harder at stocking up on memories and not more stuff.  What about you?

  1. Likewise! I'm in the process of creating photo books of our vacations, and I enjoy those simple, little picture books ten times more than any of the little things I've brought home. I'm with you, Ashley!

  2. YESSS! I think you know we already have this in common. Having a small home is REALLY going to help me scale back on buying souveniers on our travels!
