A few months ago a sweet woman from a Lutheran church in Michigan emailed me asking to use a photo from one of our backyard parties on their church monthly magazine. This being my first print publication feature, I was excited to be a part of it.
On the inside, there was a little blurb on living every day's mission trip.
Your life is your mission. The mission field is not a faraway place where the people, food, language and culture is foreign to you. Jesus calls every follower of His into the mission field that begins right where you live, work, and play every day. This summer we encourage you to have your neighbors, co-workers and friends over for a backyard BBQ, and join Jesus on his mission.This is so my heart. I think I can definitely get on board with this. It is such an encouragement for me to love and encourage others through my home. To have a photo of this featured displaying that same message simply fills my entertaining heart!
