I looooove guacamole. It is one of those condiments, dip, side dish, whatever you want to call it, that I tend to often want but not plan for. What I mean is that I sometimes forget to plan guacamole on the menu but then want it once the meal is made.
I have used a variety of recipes in the past as well as the guacamole seasonings you can buy at the grocery store. But with my continually growing need for guacamole all the time, it was easier to use a recipe that required as little planning ahead as possible. All I needed was to make sure to have avocados on hand. The rest of the ingredients are pantry staples.
I throw all the ingredients in a bowl. I never measure. It's always safe to start small and add as you go if you fear over flavoring. But you can kind of get an idea of how much garlic powder I use for three avocados.
Sometimes when I cannot get it all mashed up in the bowl, I pull out a cutting board and mash to my little heart's content.
Then I use a scraper to get all that guacamole goodness up. Would hate to leave any behind.
And there you have it. The easiest guacamole ever. And if you want to get a little crazy, you could always add fresh garlic, onions, tomato...cheeeeeese!!! This is just the basis to all your dreams coming true.
And perhaps a new bag of tortilla chips would be good to have around. Can you tell I am not a food blogger? So when all you have is bottom of the bag crumbles, feel free to just use your fingers to eat that guacamole up. That's what I do.
