Five years ago today we got married. And it has only taken me five years to finally put a little video montage together of that beautiful day! It seems like just yesterday as these five years have flown by. But I cannot help but feel so thankful in my nostalgia that I get to continue to spend the rest of my life with this man.
The video is also just under five minutes and I used two songs that we played on our wedding day. So in case you were thinking that Black Eyed Peas song was so 2009. Well, it was.
It is a simple video of the days events. We had a friend use our little video camera to record the major events of the day. Had we got married just a year or two later we probably would have hired a videographer and I would have had a wedding Pinterest board. But the low quality video and hand made decor that I came up with takes me back to a simpler time. To those crazy and spectacular three months that we were engaged, planning a wedding, and impatiently waiting to spend the rest of our lives together.
We are at a milestone year as we think to the future. These last five years have been all about us and I hope as life changes year by year, I can continue to look back fondly on this season of life about the two of us. We are still just in the beginning of what is to come but my heart is already so full from the life that we have already experienced together.
