We love a good stir fry around here. Plus my kids are obsessed with water chestnuts and baby corn so it is a meal that everyone in the family enjoys. It is a simple dinner meal that gets whipped together quickly making it a favorite in our house.
I use this recipe for my stir fry sauce. It is a great combo that works well for many Asian style dishes. Marinate some meat in it or use it for Chinese Chicken Salad. We love it and I keep the ingredients always on hand.
My Favorite Stir Fry Sauce:
-Olive oil
-Soy sauce
-Rice vinegar
-Ginger
-Maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)
-Garlic
To use I just do a splash of each and taste as I go.
For the stir fry I start with frozen vegetables in some oil. Then add chicken (sometimes precut frozen pieces). And then any fresh vegetables after that along with the sauce. Once everything is cooked I add cooked stir fry noodles. We like the stir fry noodles because they are gluten free but you can also use spaghetti noodles or even rice.
Stir Fry Ingredients:
- Frozen mixed vegetables
- Chicken
- Water chestnuts
- Baby corn
- Noodles
- Peanuts
- Sesame seeds
- Stir fry sauce
I have this stainless steel wok. We switched to stainless steel cookware a few years ago and have been so happy with them as they are non toxic and lightweight. I have this set and use these baking sheets.
