We got to see our baby boy this past week and I am happy to report all seems well! (Pictured at 36 weeks and I am now 37 weeks)
We
had some placenta concerns awhile back that have all thankfully been
resolved. He is measuring big and in order to prevent complications we
had with with our last baby, the plan is to induce at 39 weeks if he doesn't come
before then. This will be my first baby to come early and I'm not mad
about that! Lots of discomfort and braxton hicks. But all signs the end
is in sight!
Our hospital also changed restrictions for pregnant
women so that a support person is allowed to come to appointments again.
So we were very excited my husband could join me and come to the ultrasound
since he wasn't allowed at the 20 week ultrasound.
As for other
restrictions, I will have to take a covid test when I arrive at the
hospital for the birth. If the test comes back negative (results within 2
hours) and I'm still in labor, I will be able to take my mask off for
the remainder. My husband can be there the whole time but once we arrive, he
has to stay with me and can't come and go.
All in all, I think we
are ready. 9 months seems to always feel like forever. But once the end
is in sight, it suddenly feels so soon. We can't wait to meet our boy.
