We had our final installment of our family Flintstones Halloween costume this year. I am not sure that I ever planned to continue this fun family tradition when I made the Fred and Wilma costumes eleven years ago!!! But look at us now! Four children later, what a fun way to look back over the years.
While I love all these photo and holiday traditions, I will admit I have grown weary over the years adding a costume with each kid. Especially when there was a baby involved (or cross country move!). It wasn't usually easy but I always made it happen. Thank goodness felt is so easy to hot glue! I have gotten much lazier in the making of these costumes over the years, but thankfully my medium is so forgiving.
All this to say, I am happy to have this chapter of family Halloween costumes behind us. The kids can just dress up however they want from here on out!
This year our oldest daughter graduated up to the cutest Betty Rubble. It feels like it was just yesterday that she was the baby! Time sure does fly by. Be sure to scroll down to the end of the post to see all of our Flinstones costumes over the years.
We do let our kids dress up in what they want for trick or treating so I will be sharing those costumes and photos soon!
Fred, Wilma, Bamm-Bamm, Pebbles, Barney and Wilma!
Baby girl was not having it for photos. This one was the best I could get for her first Halloween!
